    Default Cyril Effect

I don't normally ask about effects and whatnot. But this one has kept me amazed for a while and was curious if it's marketed

    basically:
signed ambitious card routine ends with:
everyone with their hands over the deck, patter- blah blah- once they lift their hands, the deck has become a deck box- sealed in sticker and plastic- new deck style. unwraps and pulls the deck out, spreads it along- and their signed card is the exat place it would be in a brand new deck.

    Hope that was clear enough.

Anyone know if this is marketed, or in a book or anything?

    thanks.

It's called "Back In Time." I'm not sure if it's in a book, or anything because I believe that it was created originally by Cyril, though I am interested if others have any ideas.

    Cheers,
    JTM

I don't believe it was actually Cyril who came up with that... Im not sure if im spelling the name correct, but it's actually an unreleased effect by Sean Faquar (propbably terribly mispelled... sorry).

Sean Farquahr also has a handling for the re-sealed deck, but the idea has been around before.

Magic is like a grilled cheese sandwich. Don't pretend like you don't know what I am talking about.

you missed the fact that he had a box of cards in his hands, w/ the flap open...waved his hands and it was gone
i know where it went but its pheonominal that he had the box with cards in it and then executed his move along with what ZeroPhun said about his ending...

Q: Do you have a favorite effect?
A: Ice Cream has the best effect on me.

I spoke with Shawn and he said Cyril is using his routine without permission. Insulting at best, I'm sure. This is the same routine that Shawn has won many competitions with. Although the concept has been around a while, Shawn improved the method so that the box could be given to the spectator after. It is not a published method, as Shawn is still competing with it.

    Hope this helps!

Thought so, I was certain I was right about who's effect it was and had heard Cyril used it without permission.

Is this the effect where he did it in a South Korean game show?
