Hey guys. I did this at E, so I'll do this here as well. I want to know what your favorite songs are for when you do flourishes/tricks. I always practice The System and The Trilogy flourishes while listening to Stronger by Kanye West.

I think I'd have to go with Rob the Viking, a lot of people probably haven't heard of him but he's got some amazing beats

Daft punk was in kanye's song...;)

I listen to random songs, including trumpets from Jordan's video on youtube, it's catchy and a good choice ;)

How can you say no to The Song of Time, The Song of Storms or Gerudo Valley remixes? Yes, I mix obsessions.

I love working my flourishes while listening to Lounge music. In France, we have a lot of Louge Bar with compilations. So, I make my selection in iTunes and let's go for hours of manipulating!

Generally, as mentioned, I listen to songs with good, steady rhythm to improve my flourishing. Also, I like songs that get my adrenaline pumping. Some dance music would be good.

Here's one I really like for practice:

"Put You In Your Place" by The Sunshine Underground

I think the lyrics are pretty appropriate too, and it could be great for a video.

I don't happen to have a favorite song for flourishing, I'd get bored with if I listened to it everytime I practiced. I try to practice with all different types music, without music etc.
I think you need to be flexible and able to flourish in most environments. I know some people depend on the music, and I don't want to be like that.

For me it has to be The Doors, i really like the live stuff as a hell of a lot of it was improvised which is important to keep in mind when flourishing.

I find that my flourishing is at it's best when I'm listening to songs with a good beat, and no lyrics. I'm not talking about your average random techno, but techno with rhythm and a tune. For anyone interested in songs like this, a few good ones to check out are:

Propellerheads - Take California (used by dan and dave in the system preview)
Andy Hunter - Go (starts off slow, but then gets intense later)
Linkin Park - Session (when I'm doing slower stuff)

and a lot of stuff by Paul Oakenfold, can't think of any names, but good beats.

Cheers,
-Matt

I like to listen to music from a video, preferable a flourish video ive seen that I really like and when i flourish, i tend to think and remember the flourishes in the video or even just the music itself, which gets me really pumped and going. :) Good question

Billy Talent.

Fast, lots of guitars and drumming and a hell of a lot of screaming.

Anything epic and fast. Star Wars, Through the Fire and Flames, Cliffs of Dover, and Master of Puppets are my favorites.
