I should make a thread with this name. The effects here are some of the hardest hitting, visual, amazing effects I've seen in quite some time. If you would like to keep doing these things WITHOUT worry of someone exposing you while you perform. The best thing to do would be to not post any videos of you doing these effects or effects you love off of youtube.

Comes down to this, if you want to show off. Do it to a live audience.

You can upload videos to putfile which is a lot less popular and harder to find videos, or go to megaupload.

And don't get me started on tutorials.

Or just practice it until no one can reverse the effect...also you can just post it on your Myspace, Facebook, etc.

Another tip, read carefully

When posting your videos elsewhere if you do on myspace, do not put the effect name in the detail of the video.

i think posting videos on MVD is way better than on youtube. plus the advice and comment there are generally more helpful.

Also, it helps keep this a secret. I can't wait to do some of these tricks to people who haven't even heard of them!

heyy I dont know how you can do it but keep this stuff away from THEMANYUKNOW he is the kid on youtube exposing every trick he can, or ''performing it''... and away from youtube is too popular for this stuff xD

If you must, please at least follow this piece of advice.

All you need to do is take responsiblity and not expose any thing here on youtube or any video site. Also keep your eyes open if someone does expose it, when someone does contact the Theory 11 team and I am sure they will take care of it.

Yeah I don't think it's a good idea to be uploading videos on youtube. At least not with the very same name. You get to many "want to trade, I have ....." If you want good reactions, do it for real people instead of a guy behind computer.

I'm definetely going to monitor and make sure, this stuff has been worked on too hard for it to be revealed like that. People should understand now-a-days that you need to earn what you want to learn.

I hate youtube for all of its exposure just to get hits and subcribers but that doesn't mean I won't still put my magic on there, I have tried everything in my power to get people to take down the video.

I have my reasons for uploading my videos on youtube and I am not willing to take the time to type them out.

I hope you all can understand

P.S. I practice all my effects till they are as clear as crystal. Just to let you all know.

I feel sick when I go to watch a magic video on youtube and it says, "I will trade this for: whatever" Pleasepleaseplease make sure this doesn't happen with theory11. Maybe theory11 can make a little disclaimer you need to read before you buy.

I think if you did that many young, un-educated magicians will laugh at it. But you never know, maybe I am wrong and in this case I hope I am.

megaupload is file sharing instead of just watching it on youtube or metacafe (or whatever its called) you download it and watch in windows media player or whatever you use

O ya, I just don't want new comming magicians taking this site as joke and maybe by adding that kids will think "Wow, they even have a disclaimer. But hell, rules are mean't to be broken".

For example, Penguin magic looks like a toddlers magic store and in my opinion, you can't have a serious and ethical discussion in the forums and the tricks, don't get me started.

Yeah, Surprised they got Luke Jermay and Sankey aboard. Rather upsetting actually but what you going to do. Maybe Theory 11 crew could convince Luke to come over to this site or something.

I think theory11 has all the guys they need. But you never know, theory 11 could get Luke Jermay and bring him to the older and more mature side of magic.

I agree with the Theory 11 statement having enough people. I was just thinking I'd love to see a trick created by a bunch of magicians, but combining card skills, different or callaborated ideas and Lukes interesting "Skullduggery Psychology" if you will. Just thought that'd be awesome. And I think he would liek the more mature side mcuh more.

Good idea, never thought what they must be paying him to stay there. Everytime he finishes filming for something he probably books it to the car to get away from the ameatuers.

And same here...and yes in an odd way.

Luke needs to come here, so then we can have an ungimmicked version of distortion! Seriously, I bet he, or Derren Brown, could do something like that. Those two are mind-blowing (no pun intended)

Performing and posting effects on videos open to the public increases the number of people who know of it, magicians and non-magicians alike. This increases the "I have seen that!" reaction PLUS alot of smart people out there can figure them out if they watch it again and again. I think the best way to preserve magic is to perform it live.
I know there are people out there who post videos to get comments from other magicians. My suggestion is to post it somewhere only other magicians can see. Like the previous posts said, keep it off youtube.

Metacafe is much worse than youtube though. Number of people posting magic videos because they want feedback and want to show people their cardistry skills: zilch.

With metacafe's receantly introduced "producer reward" even more people are jumping on the wagon to get their videos out and make some quick $.

Yeah the worst places ever for exposure

Metacafe and youtube. Also comments from digg and break.com are horrible for it as well.

If you see a tutorial on youtube, just rate it one star so less people will look at it. And leave a comment like "thats not how you do it" or something like that. Thats the only thing we can do really.

Problem if it is a Penguin Magic video though. Because people post the actual videos of the teaching. If you comment on the actual video of "it's not the real way to do it." you will make yourself look like a fool. So it won't always work.

Well if its the video its self I think it can be removed because of copyright laws. But I see far more people teaching it them self because they want people to know who they are so people will think there "cool"

I forget who said this, but I really like the idea of all magicians using Magic Video Depot to post tricks that they performed. MVD is not well known by the public eye. But the only problem is I dont know how Ideal its going to be to convince alot of magicians to stop using Youtube, even though exposer and poor performance is a big issue on sites such as youtube.

Yet, none of them have been taken off. I am surprised no company or anything has taken legal action from YouTube expect Viacom, from what I remember.

real magicians dont use youtube
only 12 year old kids who think that they are cool because their parents just bought them some trick online use youtube...most of the time to expose it!
