It seems that my double backer in my deck of Centurions has a much darker/sharper shade of black on one side than the other side.

Check the pic's below (no editing):

I heard other people had that too. you could use it as an effect actually. Just do like, a shapeshifter but w/ only 1 card, and now it looks faded, OMG. :)

Yup, I have a few Centurion decks but, the one I have opened so far has that.

You can use it as a "key card" in an effect. That's how I utilize it. If you don't know what a key card is, there's a section in Royal Road to Card Magic (pages 75-86). I'm also going there's a vast amount of other resources but, that is the most simple use of the concept I have readily available :).
