This looks a lot like Moving Point... what are the differences?

actually yea, I'm very concerned of the origin issues with this effect.
Local magic shops around my area already had like at least 3 VERSIONS of the same moving pips effect for different prices.
and to state it's appearance on the TV screen, it was as early as when Lance Burton had his TV special.
Can any rep. of the theory11 team shed more light on this? How will the credibility and copyright issue be dealt? And the reason to release yet another version to the market?

The origins of this particular effect go back decades. It was originally done with a jumbo card. However, Distortion (http://www.theory11.com/tricks/distortion.php) is the only authorized version of the effect collaborated with the original innovator of the modern application of the effect ("Visually Yours"), Michael Ammar. In addition, as crediting is extremely important to us, all details are included in the DVD.
Hope this eases your concerns!

The Moving Pips are not Cyrils. He made it popular. I believe this was published in the 5x5 Japan Book.

A similar effect is taught in 5x5.The gimmink in this effect is tricky to make. Waynes demo is alot cleaner, and I will be picking one up for sure. One question, does the effect come with the gaff's?

Hey Jon, I've never seen Visually Yours, so I was wondering if you can tell us some of the differences between Visually Yours and Distortion.

Edie sorry but your wrong look i have the book five times five japan and its moving pips are different here i have a performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViuheXMAXKY see its on the box i already figured out Waynes trick complicated gimmick and yes Cyril Takayama created it i have figured it out and you could make it at home to the theory 11 creators i could send you the link so you delete the videos on youtube that reveal it there under the name jdsiofsdhfo so no one can find it that just an example

Some of us has seen this magic done by Lance Burton and Cyril Takayama before and had been amazed at the effect. I've seen and know the effect and have also purchased Wayne Houchin's Distortion because I just want to see how he does this effect in his way. If everything is included with this DVD, then this would be one of the few effects where you could say to your spectator, "It's real magic". This might even leave a heckler to be speechless, its a no holds bar when visually moving pips in plain view.
Distortion will be one of the effects that will prove what Theory 11 really means.

I really want to get Distortion. Unfortunately, my budget does not allow for it right now :(. But I am thinking I'll get it in October when it actually releases.

Once you order it, if theres any left from the pre-launch, it will be shipped to you before October, unless you order it in October or the day before.
Distortion is a great effect. Needed to add that so it would make sense in a "Review" forum.
