how should i store the "gimmick" without bending it or getting it dirty?

I use a plastic packet trick holder for mine its not the soft one is the kinda hard plastic. You can find them super cheap at magic shops.

I leave the gimmick in the case it came in. I simply put it between two books and get it out when I go perform :D

I put it in a card wallet( which is a great buy because you get free gaffs) right next to my Skinner 3 card monte cards.

It's been protected ever since.

Not at all. I wouldn't reccomend putting it in your pocket like that because it will get dirty, but you could easily put it in a card wallet, regular wallet, card box, zipper, hat, gloves(maybe not).

If you live in the humid area of where you get point at when your hands get all sweaty sometimes and cause the cards to get clumped up. I suggest put in the plastic bag to keep the cards dry and no moisture in there. Also the card clip would help too. Perform this trick in cooler area like in a building or outside in a shade.
