What is your bible of coing magic?!

Mine is Bobo's Modern coin magic.

It has helped me so much with sleeving.

Most of the sleights are easy. And extremely well taught.

I would like to see more illistrations though *I know i spelled it wrong. I am a magician not a linguist.*

Very informative and all around i give it a 8 out of 10

Yes, it's the bible of coin magic.

But like the Bible you can read it but, you need a preacher to make you understand.
That's when DVDs comes in to play, and Bobo's for reference.

The three most comprehensive books on coin magic are probably: Bobo, Roth and Kaufman'S CoinMagic. Those three form the backbone of almost all coin magic most people are performing.

Aaron Shields just said it best. Read the post above mine!

I also found this to be worthwhile and interesting. It's a DVD set, not a book... and don't think I'm one of those kids who don't read! :P I love books, but this DVD set is one of the most comprehensive collections of coin sleights ever published.

Dr. Michael Rubinstein's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COIN SLEIGHTS, vol. 1-3

I am not really much into coin magic, but I've got Bobo's Modern Coin Magic Book and it just really has everything in it which I need to do some neat stuff with coins. From the basic sleights to jawdropping routines.
I would stick to that if I were a beginner.

The DVD set is pretty dry too.

Modern Coin Magic was written to be a textbook on coin magic; a place to learn from. Not to entertain the reader. You may have to struggle through it, but it's worth it, because of the WEALTH of knowledge contained in the pages.

Have fun with it! If you take years to read it, that's fine... practice each thing before you move on to the next.

Scott.

Agreed

Not everything can be fun.
Picture learning magic from books like learning math at school.
Boring but well worth it.

In the beginning their were coins and Ammar's introduction to coin magic DVd's are great resources for beginners in coin magic. I hear Roth also has some more advanced dvd's but do not quote me on that (cause I'm dumb). To tell you the truth I never read bobo's modern coin magic book and I feel a little dissappointed for not picking up a copy already, I'll add it to my wish list of things I should have gotten years ago list, along with Royal road (yeah it's sad this one is on there, but I just purchased Expert card technique, so it's a start :)
