Just to say to all those out there if they want extra help with learning how to become a skilled card handler then check out decknique aswell for more help.
Peace.
p.s card handling is the whole area with cards.

That's ironic of you to say actually, because when Theory11 started, Decknique merged with it and became the Cardistry/Flourishing forum (Where you are). All the magic/cardistry videos from decknique are up in the T11 media section, and most of the community switched over as well.
There was a petition to keep Decknique alive as a dedicated community to flourishers, but you are speaking to the same group of people here as there.

not really.... a small fraction of the DN videos was uploaded on the T11 media section .. but there are a LOT of videos that are still only available through the media center over on DN.

I agree with the monkey, all theory 11 n00bs should go to www.decknique.net and read through the YEARS of good informative posts. You will learn so much and start much less n00b threads here.
although because it's theory 11 there will probably still be lots of threads like "what flourish makes you feel like a badazz" and such drivel.

Technically it's been 1 1/2 years. For the sake of being nit-picky. :o

Kind of a low blow, man. Cut these guys some slack, they're new, and they're curious to know things like what flourishes people like. :)

I agree with trash here.
I don't see why everyone is pissed off only because some comment. It's his own opinion.

um, wild guess, mr. J?
heh I don't know I never met the guy. I think random people just hate my guts, for some reason a dude on decknique named "godbowen" pretty much just exclusively posts negative stuff about me :( its kind of creepy he wrote "I'm a trashmanf hunter"
anyways, if I turn up missing (there's an oxymoron) you guys tell the police to check the dang webpages alright, thanks i'll give you a REP if im not dead yet.

I wish I could just talk to some of you in person about this. So much talk seems lost on the Internet.

Hmm well i like ya trash. But man i wanna meet someone who does Cardistry aswell. Oh well it just means everyone thinks i am amazing with cards
But a lil question, what the hell does the lil plus symbol next to someones name mean? When i view that persons profile it doesn't say anything different like moderator.
I seek enlightenment on t11 ( wow i just realized what i wrote)

Look man i dont hate your guts but i thought calling threads drivel was harsh.
You have been on DN for what 3 or 4 months, in my book that makes you a nOOB regardless of your senior member status. 1000+ posts in 4 months, surely some drivel there. Anyway no hard feelings, i didnt join T11 to make enemies.

Enough, guys. I don't want to have to lock this thread or begin deleting posts. His question was valid. Maybe he wants to know how many decks people order because different amounts may be more cost effective? Maybe he wants to know how much that amount might last? Etc etc.

I'm a noob. Actually I'm probably the noobiest one here (this is my first post and I've only been studying for a few months). After reading through this thread I have to ask....Am I unwelcome here?

Definitely not. But, I would recommend checking out decknique.net. I've said it before: decknique members are quirky....
Great Scott!

See the thing is youve got the members of Decknique who were there when it started, and before, and theyre the nice ones. Everyone starts somewhere, and when you first start the main thing you need is encouragement, not to be called names.
Everyone is welcome on here and Decknique, it just happens that recently a lot of new people have joined DN and started bashing people.
TrashmanF doesn't speak for Decknique, nor does any other person who joined Decknique a few months ago and are being idiots. People like Rich and Vinnie do.
And Trashman, i got nothing personally against ya, but how about putting out a video before calling people noobs.

Ever been to handlordz? my first video appearance is on the "united card artists" team 4 vid which should be out... later today actually! :)
citizen, i DEFNITELY dont speak for anyone else besides myself, but, all I'm saying is if you started a thread called, say, "how many times do you shuffle the deck of cards to mix it up?" then, yep, that would be annoying and all I'm doing is pointing that out.

K. Good to know. When I found this site I said "Whoa....this seems like a place where I can find some serious info and serious techniques (ahem) DECKniques?" A place for noobs and pros alike. I'm glad to hear that it is what I thought. By the way, I checked out decknique.net and it totally rocks, so thanks for the tip. I was especailly glad to see the links for tutorials. It gives me something to hold me over while I wait for my copy of 'The Trilogy' to arrive in the mail. In case anyone cares.... After a day of practice I can now do the 'Extended' display fairly well (although extremely slow) I have the movements down anyway. sorry to deviate so much from the thread topic...I'll stop now.

WHoa what is with all the fighting? oh wait it is all over now , never mind.
But back on topic are people finding it easier to learn "CaRdiology" through use of meida and forums here? or on Decknique? Not tyring to push them appart just interested in how people are finding it learning from the 2 sites.
p.s Vinne, can you tell me what the plus sign means next to names on here?
it has been bugging me since i noticed them :P
Cheers ma dears.

it has been bugging me since i noticed them :PI think you may have started a Buddy List. People who are on your buddy list will have a + symbol beside their name to help make them stand out to you.
